Your Bible, Your Manual, Your Guide

I hear people say a lot of times, about different life subjects, that life doesn’t come with instructions. But that’s not true. Life, absolutely, comes
with instructions. It’s called The Bible, or The Book.

That’s what it is! It’s THE BOOK.

Honestly, it’s the only book you ever really need in order to get sound instructions from.
The truth of the matter is that other books only repeat, albeit, in different ways, and
sometimes in terminology that may be a little more comprehensive; but, nonetheless, repeat
exactly what God has spoken to us. There is nothing knew under the sun, at all. It can be said differently. It can be new information…to you, but all information is old news because it’s been said before.

God completely equips his people, above all, to live a life in this world of abundant existence. 2 Peter 1:3 let’s us know that God has given to use all things that pertain to life and godliness. Think about that for a moment. God has given us “all things”
that is needed to create a rich and abundant quality of life on this earth, and in this life. And all we have to do is read it, and be no hearers of the word only, but do what is instructed unto us to do. And that’s where the real problem lies, however.

Who wants to do that much reading, and can I trust that more than I can trust a man?

I don’t care how intricately weaved the problem is in your life, God has the answer for it wrapped within the pages of the word of God. The world can get so sadistically evil that it seems like there is no God, and, yet, the word of God would still be right.

The one thing about truth, and right and wrong is that you can change them even if people call wrong right and right wrong. It doesn’t matter if they make evil a law that all men are supposed to follow, but the one thing about trying to deny the truth
is that there is a great consequence to reap that you may not be able to recover from.

So, Jesus tells his disciples in John 5:39, “Search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life…” And God reveals through the man of God, Joshua “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

So, what is God saying? You’ll be prosperous and successful if you read your Bible and
do what it tells you to. It’s really that simple to be successful in life. Just do as God says. But then that only makes sense.

Here’s the master and creator of the universe saying, “Hey, I created all of this, and I know how it all works, perfectly. If you do what I tell you you’ll navigate through this world like a superstar.” But you know what we say? “Oh, no, God, I know what I’m doing. I’m just going to do what my weak-minded, poor and broke, lazy and godless friends
are doing, so that way I don’t get talked about or looked at funny.”

So, you hook up with somebody you’re not married to, and they cheat on you, or you don’t marry someone that believes like you believe, and your marriage becomes bad (and I know those aren’t the only reasons why marriages go bad). You don’t chastise your kids like the Bible say, and they grow up spoiled and rotten, arrogant and ignorant, and they go out into the world and make a mess of their lives. You take on more debt than you can
even begin to handle, and you’re at the alter screaming for a miracle when God has already told you to not owe no man.

We, as humans, reject the perfect knowledge of God, but then we want him to protect us from every ill will that we cause on ourselves. And when He doesn’t we say that there is no God, or that He doesn’t care. God, absolutely, cares. He cares more than we do. He cares so much that He not only made sure that His thoughts toward you were recorded, but He sent the Living Word to reiterate His love and care for us.

Don’t disregard the word of God has some book. It’s the ultimate Book…for all of mankind. If you want a perfect world get people to read the Bible and do what God says. If you want an end to war, then get your enemies to read God’s word. If you want
crimes against kids and women to stop then make sure there’s a Bible in every school, in every store, in every home, in the courthouse, jailhouse, capitol building, and on the President’s desk.

Until then, you make sure that you open, read, and follow your Bible, your Manual, and your Guide, and see if God won’t move on your behalf.
