Seven Supernatural Events that Happen When You Get Saved

FGHT Devotion

Good news everyone.  There are seven positive events that take place supernaturally when an individual repents and accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Let’s look at some of those events and their scriptural support.

Seven Supernatural Events

  1. The Blood of Jesus Christ is applied to the soul of the individual and all sins are forgiven. We are redeemed from the curse of the Law and the crushing weight of sin.

    Ephesians 1:7 says:  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Gal. 3:13 says:  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

  2. One’s soul is translated from the Power of Darkness to the Kingdom of God’s Son.

Colossians 1:13:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son

  3. The individual’s name is written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Revelation 20:12:  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Luke 20:10  …but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

  4.  The destination of one’s soul is changed from Hellbound to Heaven bound.

Every soul born since the original sin of Adam and Eve was and is destined for Hell were it not for the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Hell is the “default” destination without Jesus because of the sin nature that we inherited.  I share this just in case there are some people who think that if they are “good enough” (or at least not too bad) they will go to Heaven when they die.  But the Bible tells us in Is. 64:6:

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

We can never be good enough without Jesus’s redemption.  But the good news is that Jesus Christ died so that we could be set free from the chains of sin.  When one repents of all sins, their ultimate destination is changed from Hell to Heaven.

  5. The inhabitants of Heaven rejoice when one repents and accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise, joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

  6. The person is transformed into a new creature in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

  7. The person becomes a candidate to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Let us pray:  Thank you Father, for all of things that You have done for us, both seen and unseen.  We receive salvation by faith, knowing that You are faithful to your promises.  We are most grateful for salvation and for the infilling of the Holy Ghost when we ask.  We are sealed for eternity through Your word.  In the name of Jesus, we pray.  Amen.
