Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. ( Ps 27:14 KJV)
Anybody waiting on a prayer to be answered or a promise to be fulfilled? Or are you waiting on the Lord? There’s a difference between the two you know. The Bible says, “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick. (Prov. 13:12)”. Sometimes, while we’re waiting on the promise, we start to feel anxious and, if we’re honest, we also feel frustrated. We’ll find ourselves thinking thoughts like, “But I prayed”; or “But God You said; “Or even, “Do You even hear me?” Well, be encouraged friend, because Psalms 27:14 says, “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.”
It’s easy to get frustrated when you haven’t seen the manifestation of God’s promises. It makes us think of the times that people have let us down while we waited on them. Or of the times when we never saw our wishes granted by others. Those negative past experiences may make us feel frustrated. But remember that God is not man. When you’re waiting on God and not just the answer, it is impossible to be frustrated or discouraged. Why? Because when you’re waiting on GOD, you know He’s good for it. He’s a promise keeper. He has never failed. He has never lost a case and He is faithful. He Is Faithful. So, my question to you is, “Are you waiting on this thing to happen, or are you waiting on the Lord?”
Pray this prayer: “Lord, help me to wait on You and to put my trust in You. I trust that Your will is best. I want to feel Your strength while I wait. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
