My heart is still grieving for the loss of our dear Apostle Murray. I thank God for Apostle and Sis Murray and how they impacted my life while living in Dallas, Texas (1974-1978). We express our heavenly heart of a sad news on the death of our father apostle the lion of the gospel a man who understand the inject of the word of God. With Love greeting from the rest family and membership of F G H T members of west Africa. Today is a weeping day for F G H T family but on to God is a joyful day for the Lord open my eye on Thursday night that our leadership prayer time when children’s women, youth, where weeping for apostle Murray and I saw the Angels they are sent with their white robes blowing the trumpets of salvation saying blessed day the name of the Lord welcoming Apostle in the heaven chair and the Angel said on to me that i should tell the F G H T family that we should not cry for Apostle Murray have join the twenty four Elders in Heaven for a long time he share have been prepared.
So mother Shirley and Bishop Herman Murray stop crying you love Apostle so much but the Lord love him most. I had the sudden death of our Father on Wednesday when I call Bishop James Cooper and I was told that Apostle have departed from this earth to join the Lord in heaven, I have not seen Apostle with my eyes from the time I have being part of F G H T but I have being pray that one day I will see my mentor which is Apostle Murray a Man wisdom, he speak the mind of God concerning generation and the Gospel that is why he said in the church doctrine manual that he has a vision that he has seen a vision unfolding reaching out with the Gospel of Jesus to nation, with this kind of vision man that have departed from us it a pain unto us but together let us take heart.
The women of F G H T send their heartily warming tears of sorrow to mother Shirley Murray they are on prayer for the comfort of the Lord to strengthen her that the gap and the vatu that have open that the Lord will fill it with his grace through Bishop Herman Murray.
We the youth of F G H T we said take heart bishop for all is not yet lost there is still a way for you.
We the men of F G H T we are on prayer and fasting for the strength and courage of God to shower you as you are going through this painful period but we want to thank God for our apostle fight the good fight of faith and he has finish the race that is why the Lord have called him to go and rest when we are crying the Angels are celebrating with him.

As a member of FGHT for 30 yrs., I have always been proud to serve under the leadership of Apostle & Dr. Shirley Murray. I thank God for placing me under this ministry. I have never been more proud of my Apostle than I was yesterday at the homegoing celebration! Through his preaching & teaching, my life was changed forever. As I have often said, it took strong leadership & a strong gospel to deliver me. Under this ministry God has performed many miracles in lives of my children & I. For his life I am grateful, & his legacy I will forever cherish! I am proud to be 1 of those Murray’s Kids!! RIP Apostle Lobias Murray!!!

Apostle Murray was a man who taught holiness and lived what he preached about. Apostle Murray completed his journey and God called him home. The Christian world really lost a jewel.
This is the church I grew up in as a little kid and got saved in when the church was located on Ewing st. Since I have been grown I have made visits to the new location. Pastor Murray was truly a man of God and lots of saved souls from his ministry. I just learned of his passing tonight and regret i didnt hear in time for any attendance. Hearing touch me dearly and at heart. I love Pastor Murray and his family. Thanks for sharing such a devoted, spirit filled and loving person. I know that he is enjoying life in heavenly places. God bless F.G.H.T family. Let his teachings live on. I am so glad I was able to leave my remarks. Love you, Apostle Murray and thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I 1975 when I was 14 years old and living in Denver, Colorado I heard Apostle Murrary for the first time on radio station KQXI. He was a “Fireball” for Jesus and I loved to hear him preach about faith and holiness. In 1979 I had the great privilege of visiting F.G.H.T. and that experience changed my life. That was the largest Pentecostal, full gospel church I had ever seen. The move of God that I saw and felt that day has stayed with me and has forever impacted my life. I thank God for such a tremendous servant of the Lord as Apostle Murray, he was truly ONE OF A KIND and I know he has a great reward waiting for him in glory. May God forever bless Full Gospel Holy Temple, the Murrary family and legacy of faith that has been left by this GREAT MAN OF GOD.

Apostle Lobias and Evang. Shirley Murray have been my spiritual mentors and parents in the Lord for the last 30 years. Truly, he was a spiritual giant and an exceptional teacher of the Word of God. I learned more in one month about how to live holy from Apostle Murray than I had learned in the three years after getting saved when I lived in Houston before I moved to Dallas in 1982. During and after the Tuesday night family services, he shared many tidbits of wisdom and spiritual “nuggets of gold ” with us about how to live a saved life” when FGHT was located on Ewing Street.
What an awesome and holy man of God. Much love and prayer to Dr. Shirley Murray, Bishop Herman Murray, the entire Murray family, and FGHT. You are truly blessed to have had such a man of God as your leader

Now he is in glory and we know that we’ll see him again at the Rapture. I love you much church family. Wow!! What can I say? As I’m sitting here typing these words, I’m fighting to hold back tears. I still can’t believe Apostle is gone. He was indeed a TRUE man of God, one that stood strong in his belief and NEVER compromised. I remember when I came to Dallas, my sister invited me to church and I didn’t want to go, I wanted to get back to California to finish doing my thing. I can recall going to church and sitting in the back of the sanctuary on Ewing, hearing this man preach like I’ve never anyone preach before. Yes I was a church goer but was never told about my sins, never told about Heaven or hell. As he finished his sermon, one of the sisters I was sitting next to walked me down to the altar and I can see Apostle with those eyes of fire looking directly at me and asking me “young lady, what do you want the Lord to do for you?” I replied, “I want to be saved”. He laid his hands on me and God saved and filled me with his PRECIOUS gift of the Holy Ghost. That’s been over 31 years ago. That Saturday night will ALWAYS be a precious memory of mine. He will ALWAYS be “my” Apostle. So to Mother Murray and family and to the entire FGHT Family, we will make it. You are in my prayers.
God has blessed one of his greatest soldiers to retire from labor to reward. Apostle Murray has been all to me God can give to man from man and since first meeting him he has inspired me to live right, love right, preach right and now how to die right. Not many church leaders can touch you in every area of life, but Apostle and Evangelist Shirley Murray has done this. God continue to bless and keep you Mother/Evangelist Shirley Murray because God is not through using you in building us to help others for His glory! God Bless you Bishop Herman, Patrick and all our family/church family. Thank God for the life and legacy of our dear Apostle Murray. To Evangelist Murray, Bishop Murray and the entire Murray family…I won’t say I understand or feel your pain because I don’t. Your lost is much greater than mine; although, I loved Apostle dearly and I am hurting. He was not just our pastor and father in the gospel but a husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle to you. He touched so many lives….my 7 yrs old grand daughter’s first thoughts were to write Evan Murray a letter and let her know she loved her. That’s the kind of impact the Apostle and Evan Murray has on children! My prayers are continually with you all. Please tell me what I can do to help make the burden lighter.

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to sit under the leadership of Apostle Murray, he truly changed my life by introducing me to true holiness. When I think of the name Apostle Lobias Murray, I think of a man who started this ministry (Full Gospel Holy Temple) on one main principle: Love and Holiness. A lot of people in my surroundings here in Michigan think that I’m crazy for watchin a program such as FGHT. But every time I watch it, all I see is Love n Holiness; not to mention some off the chain praise. I send my thoughts, love, and prayers to the Murray family and the FGHT familly. God is still faithful and a true comforter in the time of transition.

I may only be 15 years old, but I have been apart of Full Gospel Holy Temple all my life. There is nothing I would ask to be different in my life. This church isn’t like the others… Apostle allowed the young people to be apart of his ministry, and I am greatful. Full Gospel Holy Temple is my second home, and I don’t mind. When I first heard of Apostle Murray’s passing I gasped and looked towards Heaven, I knew in that instant that he already had his wings! I first came to Full Gospel when I was 18 years old. I came from a broken home and the Apostle & Sis. Murray were like parents to me. Apostle was the first man that I encountered to be a real hands on husband and father as well as a leader of a ministry. Whenever I hear their names the word that comes to mind is “REAL”. Sister Murray is a great woman of God whom I will always admire and love. FGHT is built on “REALNESS” and that’s hard to find in this day and time, yet Apostle & Sis. Murray has proven that it can be done. I will never forget Apostle Murray for he was a “righteous” man! Apostle & Sis. Truly I have been wounded by the transition of our great Apostle and my personal friend Apostle Lobias Murray. He was a man among men. He was the very epitome of Greatness. Preachers couldn’t have had a greater and more supportive friend. There is absolutely no doubt he will be greatly missed because he impacted so many lives. I have come to this page a few times, like many others I am sure, and left not knowing the right words to say. Apostle Murray was a man of great wisdom. I am thankful that he shared his wisdom with the young and the old alike. He is a legend and he leaves behind a great legacy. It’s hard to sum up things in a few words, but he was so optimistic about things. He reached out to so many people over the years and worked tirelessly giving back so much to the church, to the members, and to the community. When I think of him, I am often reminded of these words, “Something good is going to happen to you!” He would always say that. He may not have known your exact situation, but he knew that God is faithful and just and that if we just keep our eyes on Jesus Christ we can not go wrong. He taught us to look beyond our trials and focus our hearts on God. To the Murray family and the entire FGHT family you are in my prayers and thoughts.
One thing I loved about his ministry was he preached and taught PURE HOLINESS!!!! My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, and the entire church family. The saints in Milwaukee, WI are praying for you.

Apostle Murray has really touched my soul in many ways through his ministry. I went to his school from the 6th – 9th grade. And i learned a lot about God and how to conduct myself. Apostle Murray is another powerful soldier that has got his reward. He is in a better place than the world down here. But God is right there at the great time of pain. He is standing for us to lean and depend on him. Apostle Murray is a great leader. I got one chance to talk to him when he came to the school. I have been so blessed by your ministry on the Word Network over the years first in Denver, CO when the old building could not hold all of the FGHT family. Now in Houston, I watched the Lord enlarge your borders and coasts in the eyes of everyone and He is yet increasing in you! Apostle Murray blessed me many times as he flat-footedly stood and didn’t back down preaching the unadulterated Word of God and Holiness. Many people can’t handle the old way and the way that put meat on our bones and made us so strong we can stand through anything. He was cut from a fabric not available to the general public. He paid a price that many just won’t even consider. He loved God, His Family, His Wife..as she has worked so hard, as well all these years. Apostle Murray, Thank you for the standard of holiness you presented the world to maintain the showing of God’s Holy Remnant. Peace & Tranquility Be Yours, Man of God.

Praise the Lord!!!! My husband and I watch your telecast every week on the Word Network in NY and had no idea that Apostle Lobias Murray had passed. My husband always says how Apostle Murray reminded him so much of his grandfather (Bishop Ernest Crooms). We go to Rapture Preparation Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Bronx, NY and we could appreciate the message heard by the men of God because they are in very close relation to the true word of God that we are taught and hear. I was previously in the north dallas area of the week of dec 12-18 I also drove by the ministry and felt the anointing and presence of God. He was such an awesome man of God who knew nothing but righteous and Holiness. He lived right so that he may die right. I was compelled to visit this ministry not knowing this translation of this saint would take place before I did visit. I want to encourage all of the fold ministry who was and is being birth of of the ministry of Apostle Lobias Murray to yet “steadfast therefore in the liberty where in Christ Jesus has made us free in we not to be entangled with the yoke of bondage any more”.
To the family of Apostle Lobias Murray we the Wooten family of Chicago,IL and establishing firm foundations ministries due with with our deepest regrets and condolences to the First family as well as, the national FGHT national body. Apostle Murray is a three-star General in the Kingdom of God who produced great fruit. He is honored and respected across All demoninations. I watched him on television for over 20 years and have visited his church many times and received healing and great blessings when I came to his church. He is/was one of the greatest examples of true holiness among preachers, pastors and Apostles today – period in the body of Christ. He did not compromise the gospel and preached the whole counsel of God not a watered down gospel.

Apostle, Dr. Shirley Murray and Full Gospel Holy Temple is all I have ever known as far as the gospel of Jesus Christ…it is all I will ever need to know. Even as a young teenager, I always appreciated how Apostle told the whole truth and nothing but the truth whether you liked it or not. Apostle not only preached the word, he gave you the scripture of exactly where he got the doctrine from. You can’t argue with black and white. Though the church was large, I never once doubted that he cared about lil ol’ me. I will greatly miss and always remember my Apostle and what he taught me the 41 years I was under his teaching. I didn’t know Apostle Murray personally, but I truly loved his ministry. He stood for true Holiness….something people don’t stand for anymore. I love Holiness and I love it when I hear someone not only preach it, but live it as well. I am going to miss you (even though I never got to meet you) because you preached sound doctrine…..and that’s what we need in this world today…..and that’s what I love. I loved the fact that you didn’t care who liked it or didn’t like it. You just said what thus sayeth the Lord. I met this great man of God for the first time in 1968. I heard about his great ministry and begin attending Full Gospel. In the year of 1970, it became clear to me that I needed this man of God and his teachings. I became a member and have been there every since. His teachings compelled me to learn more about Jesus. He will truly be missed and my prayers are with Evangelist Shirley Murray and family and with the Full Gospel Ministry.
Apostle Lobias Murray was the greatest man on earth…He was the one that preached me out of my sins at the age of 6 years old…I believed every word that came out of his mouth and still believe to this day…He really had an impact on my life in a way unimaginable…I truly thank God for raising up such a great man of God and giving me the opportunity to know the “Full Gospel”…My prayers are with the family and the FGHT family as a whole…He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Praise the Lord, i watched apostle Murray on the word network and before that on daystar. I admired the fact the he with his fg staff preached holiness or hell. I’m just glad to know that he did not compromise the word, he spoke nothing but the word of God.(Truth) and that is the obedient duty he showed. Such a bittersweet feeling and day Dec. 23rd was. I will truly miss Apostle Murray. If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t have this AWESOME ministry, if it wasn’t for him my pastor wouldn’t be saved and I wouldn’t be saved. Thank you God for loaning him to us. Its taken me a while to wrap my mind around MY Apostle going on to be with the Lord, so many mixed emotions!! I have been a member since I was in my mothers womb (stumbled a little along the way)but he has planted a seed that no man can recover from my heart!! He has taught me how, why, and when to pray and fast! Because of his teachings I know the true meaning of holliness and I now have the tools I need to instill those same teachings in both of my daughters lives. My four year old daughter was moved to tears after finding out about MY Apostles passing, “she said so I guess we wont be having a Merry Christmas this year”! I told her all is well, he has gone on to be with the Lord in Heaven, and she said well I’m going to be saved forever so I can go to!! That just goes to show how his teachings touched the masses! You will be missed and your life and legacy will continue to be celebrated!!!

I’m shocked to hear of Apostle’s passing. I remember listening to his powerful messages for many years. Such an amazing man of God. It’s a tough loss for the church but I know he has seen Jesus’ face. Keep his legacy alive and for those who had a chance to hear him preach the Gospel, hold on to what he gave you…the TRUTH! “If you believe it, say Amen”!

I was shock by the news of Apostle Murray’s passing, I spent many years under his teaching , and I learn so much about holiness and sanctification under his leadership. He taught the saints how to live right, and that we are a peculiar people separated from the world. All of his teachings are inside me, and burns with fire today. I’m sorry for the loss of Apostle Lobias Murry. I started watching Full Gospel Holy Temple some years ago. I’m a pastor and I admired their stand for holiness. There aren’t alot of people standing for holiness. When we are saved in christ we rejoice when a man of god who has stood for holiness leaves this world. There is a mighty reward for him. Rejoice for the Lord has prepared a beautiful mansion for this man of God.

I have been in love with the Apostle since I first heard him preaching on the Daystar network. I am sad and yet rejoice that a true Pastor is at rest now. He is an inspiration to me and thousands or ministers of the Gospel and his legacy will live forever. May the FGHT family be encouraged and may the Lord strengthen the immediate family. He has lived a great life and the Lord makes no mistakes. I look forward to being in service with you soon. Merry Christmas!

My deepest sympathies to the entire Murray and FGHT family. Apostle Murray was a man who preached God’s word and never sugar coated it…ever. One of my fondest memories is of him preaching and illustrating the crucifixion of Christ and saying “I want you to REMEMBER…” I am so glad to have been raised under his preaching and the FGHT ministry since the age of 5. I can hear the Apostle singing…”He’s so wonderful….wonderful Jesus.

Apostle Murray was the greatest father figure I ever had. I appreciate evrything he taught me about Holiness and it was straight from the WORD of God. He never gave us his opinion he only gave us truth. There will never be a human being in my life nor on earth like him. He will greatly be missed by the Urista family. As a former member of FGHT, I am deeply saddened about the passing of Apostle Lobias Murray. He truly was an awesome and powerful man of God, and he will be greatly missed. I loved to hear him say “Believe it say Amen!” The first message I remember hearing him preach was entitled “We’re living in a snakey land”.
The Murray and entire FGHT Family are in my prayers. Apostle Murray went home for Christmas.
