Pastor John Shelton - Tuesday Morning Speaker

Pastor John SheltonElder John Shelton, pastor of the Full Gospel Holy Temple Church in Sherman, Texas, is a spiritual shepherd.  He is the husband of a lovely woman of God, Evangelist Stella Shelton, and father of four wonderful children: Adriane, Darius, Joshua, and Keisha.
Pastor Shelton moved to Dallas, Texas from the small East Texas town of Karnack.  Upon graduating from high school with honors, he received a four year academic scholarship to Jarvis College.  Then, he heard the cry of the “far country.”  He went to Jarvis College to register but never went back.
He had dreams of being a “hustler.”  But he found himself strung out on drugs and other vices.  In 1971, he was invited to the Full Gospel Holy Temple Church in Dallas, Texas.  He got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost and became a member of the church.
When God saved and delivered him, his dreams changed.  He no longer wanted to be a hustler.  Instead, he wanted to be a help to God and the ministry.  He has remained faithful to God in this endeavor ever since then.
He has traveled across the country preaching the word of the Lord.  His experience has led him to preach to a large group of people, as well as to a few, the uncompromised word of the Lord.
He has the zeal and determined mind to be a help to the people of God and the ministry.  Pastor Shelton has been a faithful minister on the streets and jail ministry.  He has also been instrumental in establishing other churches under the FGHT ministry.
Elder John Shelton has been an encouragement to many people and pastors in the North Texas/Oklahoma area for the last 29 years.  His will is to be faithful to God, obedient to leadership and ultimately “to finish this course with joy.”

Bishop Larry Kiel - Tuesday Night Speaker

Bishop Larry KielBishop Kiel has walked before the Lord in pure holiness since the day of his calling 44 years ago.   Bishop Kiel has an impeccable reputation of faithfulness, loyalty, dedication, sacrifice, and determination so that the work of God may prosper.

These are a few of the qualities observed by our great overseer, founder and Chief Apostle, Dr. Lobias Murray, when in following the leading of the Lord in the year of 1988, ordained him to be a Bishop of the Full Gospel Holy Temple Churches, Inc.  Since the day of this ordination, the mighty man of God has not ceased to fulfill his office in every sense of the word.  He humbly realizes, “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.  But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another” (Psalm 75:6-7).

The spirit of evangelism is evident in his life.  This man of God has traveled extensively around the world carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  No crowd is too large or too small.  Bishop Kiel is an electrifying, profound, and anointed speaker for Jesus Christ.

Bishop Kiel has an honorary Doctoral Degree presented from Bethel Bible College in Detroit, Michigan, where the Founder and Chancellor is Dr. Milton C. Woods.  His other accomplishments include being named as the Director of L & S Christian Camp (1983) and Executive Director of L & M Christian Daycare/Learning Center (2000).  Education is very important to Bishop and Evangelist Kiel, therefore, the Larry and Margaret Kiel College Scholarship fund was established to be given to deserving high school students.

The “Voice of Deliverance” television ministry was established in October of 2001.  Bishop Kiel can now be viewed on channel 19 (Marshall Cable) every Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and WB 45 (which covers Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas) every Sunday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  He can also be viewed live over the internet each Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m.

He is an active community leader.  Bishop Kiel and Evangelist Margaret Kiel ministers to the whole man through the Helping Hand outreach ministry established in 1983 which provides free toys, food and clothes to the less fortunate throughout the year but especially during the Christmas season.

Recently, Bishop Kiel received a special “Progressive Builder Award” for being a true visionary in the city of Marshall.  God uses Bishop Kiel to make big things happen in a small town atmosphere.

Bishop Kiel believes in the sanctity and unity of strong family values.  God has blessed the Kiel’s with three sons and a great niece whom they raised in the fear of the Lord and in the admonition of Holiness.

Pastor Marvin Winans - Wednesday Night Speaker

Pastor Marvin WinansPastor Marvin L. Winans is the founder and pastor of Perfecting Church, one of Detroit, Michigan's foremost congregations and a growing ministry family that extends far beyond its active local campus.

Raised in a household of faith by his parents, David and Delores Winans, Pastor Winans received the Gospel message at an early age and preached his first sermon at the age of 18; the first-fruit of a ministry calling he accepted in 1970 during a 150-day revival led by Mother Estella Boyd, whom God used to lay hands on him and give him a vision for a future life in ministry.

Since heeding the call, Pastor Winans' ministry has grown exponentially, from a humble gathering of eight in his own basement on May 28, 1989 to a membership of more than of 4,500 faithful who congregate weekly in Perfecting's expansive, 165,000 square foot site facility.

With Colossians 1:28 and the principle, "Ministry Means People" as guiding posts, Pastor Winans has taken a holistic approach to the pastorate; following Christ's model of meeting humanity's needs prior to addressing their spiritual condition through the life-changing power of the Gospel. This approach has led to the creation of various outreach and educational programs, all under the umbrella of the Perfecting Community Development Corporation, including the Marvin L. Winans Academy of Performing Arts, the Perfecting Community Care Center, the Amelia Agnes Transitional Home for Women, and the Jenesta McCraw Youth Activity Center. Currently, plans are underway for the opening of a performing arts academy in St. Louis, Missouri.

Serving as Bishop-Elect of Perfecting Fellowship International, Bishop-Elect Marvin L.Winans oversees a sisterhood of churches both stateside and abroad that encompasses congregations from various states including New York, Texas, Florida, Alabama, London and South Africa; all of which meet annually for church growth, leadership training, community outreach and convocations packed with teaching, preaching and worship.

In addition to his ministry achievements, Pastor Winans is a multiple GRAMMY®, Stellar, and Dove winning recording artist, as well as one-fourth of the legendary gospel quartet, The Winans, with whom he recorded such beloved hits as "Tomorrow", "Ain't No Need to Worry" and "It's Time." His background in music has been put to good use at Perfecting Church, where his songs are sung weekly and have appeared in various recording projects featuring the church's praise band and choir, including the church's 2012's The Praise & Worship Experience, which Pastor Winans produced.

Of his milestones and legacy in ministry, Pastor Marvin L. Winans says, "I hope that as a church we've established a precedent that never changes even centuries after I'm gone; my prayer is that Perfecting would stand on the truth of the Word of God as revealed on Jesus Christ; upon this rock I will build my church."

Bishop Paul Cannon - Friday Morning Speaker

Bishop Paul CannonBishop Paul Cannon, Jr. is a native of Birmingham, Alabama.  After graduating from high school, Bishop Cannon attended the former Bishop College in Dallas, TX on a Music Scholarship.  He majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry.  His career goal was to become a research scientist, but God had other plans for his life.

In April of 1970, Bishop Cannon received Christ as his personal Savior.  Thus, a leader for Christ was born.  Empowered by the Holy Ghost and with his outgoing personality, he was a great instrument in winning others to Christ on and off the college campus.  He became an active member of Full Gospel Holy Temple, using his talent of music to the glory of God.  He played the clarinet in the church band. He was active in Youth Service, Street Services, and Revivals. He faithfully served his leaders, the late Apostle Dr. Lobias Murray and Evangelist, Dr. Shirley Murray and the Full Gospel Holy Temple Ministry, Inc.

Bishop Cannon has served as Pastor of Nash Full Gospel Holy Temple Church for 36 years. He came into the work determined to do God’s will. No sacrifice was too great. Preaching the Word without fear or favor, God saved and filled people with the Holy Ghost from all walks of life.

God filled their small chapel and then gave Bishop Cannon plans to build a debt-free edifice. Following God’s instructions, the temple became a reality in 1993. The Nash Full Gospel Church family entered their new sanctuary debt-free!  Over the years, other outreach ministries were implemented for the furtherance of the gospel: a Radio Broadcast, the “Gospel Arising” Christian Newsletter, a Bus Ministry, Nursing Home Ministry, Street Service, Children’s Church, and “The Living Word” Telecast.

Bishop Cannon was ordained a Bishop of the Full Gospel Holy Temple Churches, Inc. in 1991. He is President of the Annual Youth Congress of FGHT, Inc. Bishop Paul Cannon has made full proof of his ministry. He is also an outstanding, active, citizen of the community as well.  He has written two books to assist others in their quest to live for God; “Overcoming the WorldandThe Series: Walk & Be Perfect”.

Bishop Cannon loves God, he loves the ministry, he loves the souls of men, he loves his leaders, and he loves his family.  He has a heart of gold!  Talented and smart, he could have been a research scientist-- but thank God he heeded to “the call of God”for his life and surrendered to His will.

Certainly, Bishop Cannon is a man of God indeed. He is a “Word preacher” who loves and values the precious Word of God. He has been married to the love of his life, First Lady, Evangelist Jacquelyn Cannon, for 40 beautiful years. They have five children: Jermia, Jeremy, Paul III, Jennifer, and Jon, and six beautiful grandchildren.
